i have enjoyed scottys car reviews but i am curious why i cant find his reviews for subaru ? im considering leasing or buying a subaru outback
Scotty has talked about Subaru on numerous occasions. Feed your favorite internet search engine with terms such as "Scotty Kilmer Subaru" and many examples will come up.
I bought a 2017 new and have been pretty happy with it, although I regret not buying a Toyota at the time.
Pros- It is great in the snow if you get a lot where you live, and the main reason I bought it was for safety for kids in the car after a close call. (Watched many crash test videos and was convinced they do protect better than similarly sized vehicles in that price range)
Cons- Especially compared to my wife’s 2015 Highlander it is clear that everything is more cheaply made, not great on gas (~25-26 mpg- real world driving), headlight seal gave out (have see it on many others) gets condensation inside, and resale value will fall off a cliff in a few years compared to a Toyota.
It did also develop a front differential leak (covered under warranty), and when I drove the newer model loaners they felt even more cheaply made than my 2017.
