Jeep Grand Cherokee opinions

Hi everyone.

I found this really good-looking Cherokee, 3.7l V6. I think I read somewhere that they use Chrysler's petrol engines. What do you think? Is it any good? Reliable? What are better and worse options?

Model Year?

Year 2006. I guess it's third generation, though it looks pretty much the same as WJ.

Are you sure it’s not the 3.6 pentastar? Cause I don’t think a 3.7 made by Chrysler ever existed. But yes! I’d say for the most part they’re pretty reliable vehicles. Now the V8 is going to be a lot more reliable due to larger transmission

The new ones tend to be endless money pets the old ones are decent but of course they could be worn out you'd want a mechanic to check a really old one out before you'd buy and not a fan of the new Jeep V6 engines that were designed alongside Fiats

I agree with Scotty. The older ones...years 93-95 with the 4.0 straight 6 are better.

It's 2006 model. From what I could see and hear from the owner, it has 300.000 km highway drive, but it was serviced regularly. My only real concern is it's automatic transmission. I have no way to check if it's nearing its end. How reliable are they?
