I don't know why that little phrase popped in my head with I heard my friend Decided to get a new 4 door wrangler. They said they got it to work in, where they may have to tow a trailer up to about 2500# and stick a lot in the back. I would never tow with a jeep, I think he wants a mud toy, I can't imagine it handling well on the interstate either.
They have a camry, and sold their Rav 4 a few months back, I fear they have made a poor decision.
Any chance they made some reliable ones lately?
Nope. No chance.
Jeep consistently places in the worst category for reliability and quality.
@Mod_Man Yeah I was afraid of that, I hope they can get out of it before they lose too much. Thanks!
I always thought Jeeps were meant to be towed and used for special outdoor trips. That’s how I often see them, they are attached to a truck on a trailer, ready for the mud and the outdoors.
So if it is really for the mud, they made the right choice IMHO. But as an all around daily driver, NFW.
(Personally, I would much prefer another make, but if I had money to splurge, I wouldn’t mind a Jeep for the mud. Knowing full well what to expect. But I am too cheap anyway. Lol.)
Yeah they are good in nasty terrain, a fun play toy for sure.
Not really. How much of a gambling person is your friend? That’s how these modern Jeep’s are - their quality is inconsistent and all over the place. Maybe they get lucky and minimal issues, then again maybe it becomes a lemon. Either way, for longevity they just don’t hold up. To me, it’s not worth getting if you value peace of mind.
Thanks! Yeah they went on a pretty long trip and will be back in a few days. I hope it is one of the rare good ones, I sure would not have rolled he dice on one.
