Is it necessary to grab the additional parts that come with the kit for the AC compressor or can I just grab the AC compressor and replace Jeep patriot 2011
If the compressor failed internally that contaminates the AC system with metallic debris. At a minimum you also need to replace the condenser, expansion valve or orifice tube, drier, and flush out the rest of the AC system.

If it's the compressor making that noise it is worn out internally and you have to take the steps that I outlined or the replacement compressor can be destroyed by contamination. (You will probably find it is required for the compressor warranty.)
Of course you should first determine where the noise is actually coming from in case it's something else.
