Hi I live in Yorkshire England.
We have a 2016 Jeep Renegade Longitude 1.5 diesel. Slowly over around 6 months the radio has started to loose signal from our favourite stations, I have had the radio out and checked the continuity of the antenna cable all is well I cleaned the connections and used electrical grease to ensure they didn't fur up again. I thought this would fix the issue, but to no avail do you have any ideas what could be wrong?.. and yes I have retuned the unit for your info.
I understand the system needs updates from time to time for the sat nav but surely I don't need an expensive software update just to listen to my car radio???
In my BMW X1 the channels all work perfectly.

Get an aftermarket radio. Not worth time working on that piece of junk.
In addition to what @yaser recommended, I think your car radio has had enough of your selection of radio stations!
FCA products are renowned for electronic gremlins as they age. She’s just given you the first taste..
