Is this an issue with the front right brake assembly? I'm assuming not the left. I did drop the caliper while handling it and it dangled by the cable but I didn't see any fluid leaking. What should I do to test the issue?

Sounds like you didn't change or service your car's calipers. The left caliper is sticking. With new pads in place, it is now more pronounced since there is more pad material pushing against the rotor. Change out the left brake caliper.

Take it to a pro and get it all re-done.

Not a chance it's a cheap truck i bought to learn on, not my daily driver
