Hey Scotty, I'm interested in buying a preowned pickup truck. What do you think of 1st gen GMC Sierra (2wd/4wd 2000-2006)? Or would you recommend paying more for a 1st gen Toyota Tundra? Are there any specific years I should steer clear or towards on both models? Thanks! By the way, anything that I choose will not be used all that much. I basically work 3 miles from my house and I only need it for home projects. Also I live in the northeast and it does snow every now and then. Thanks again for all your help in the present and in the past!
Michael
I would go thunder by far but of course you can get the GM product much cheaper and in 2000 they were okay vehicles if you could get one cheap enough you'll never get a really cheap tundra
The Tundra will outlast the GM, no question.
That 1st generation 1999-2006 GMC Sierra/Chevrolet Silverado 1500 were much better built back then and can last a long time. For your application (won’t be used much and home projects), I recommend those. Plus they will be cheaper than the Tundra.
