Hi Scotty, I watch your videos on you tube all the time. I really appreciate you uncompromising dedication to thrift, truth and accuracy. I wish I had a more interesting question, but I'm stumped on a very simple issue. I will soon replace my first timing belt on a 93 Honda Accord LX. I've studied dozens of videos on the subject, however the few videos that did exist for 93' just don't seem to be around anymore. Also my Haynes Repair Manual never specifies the size of the Crank Shaft Pulley Bolt. It's the bolt on the very end of the crank shaft that is torqued down to 159 ft/lbs. that secures the timing belt pulley.
I need to get one of those over-weight harmonic sockets to get it off, but I'd like to order the right size socket before I start working on the car, so I have the right tools on hand. I can't just go out there and inspect the bolt without removing a bunch of shrouds and hardware.
Can you help me out and tell me what size socket in millimeters I should use to remove the Crank Shaft Pulley Bolt on a 93 Honda Accord LX?
Thank you for your time and your help all these years.
Sincerely,
Jason
