just outr of cuiosity i know the v8 f series and the panther cars a solid built because scotty said so but what about the unibody cars like the explorer escape fusion? i am just wondering
Compared to new GM and Chrysler products, yes.
Compared to Toyota and Honda products, no.
Of the 3 vehicles you mentioned, Explorer, Escape, and Fusion, the Fusion has been announced as being discontinued.
The 2020 Escape and Explorer have been announced as "completely redesigned" and unless otherwise announced, will be continued in production.
From sources such as Consumer Reports and J.D. Powers, reliability is considered "average".
Have several coworkers and friends with old Fusions. They seem to go and go.
The Fusion is being discontinued but the 2.5 non-ecoboost fusions are very reliable and among scotty's 5 best cars to buy list. The ford v8's are also very reliable. But I would stay away from the Explorer, the Escape is OK.
