2002 E46 [Cold start misfire at idle]

Hello everyone!

I have a problem with my e46 (m54). Every time on a cold start, when the engine is cooled down to outside temperature, I have misfire(s). Usually, they occur in cylinders 1,2,6 according to the scanning tool (INPA), but most often it is in cylinder 1 or 2. Cylinder 6, very rarely. The engine starts shaking and almost always throws a code for misfire, in one of the cylinders mention before. Sometimes, after the engine warms up a bit, and I restart it, the code disappears by itself, other times I have to delete it myself. Another thing is that when it's warmed up and has code deleted, it runs perfectly fine, without even the slightest sign that something could be wrong. The car has already done 260K/km, it runs on 5w30 Bmw long-life oil. I changed sparkplugs (Bosch) somewhere around 13000kms ago, ignition coils also look okay, and I even got an ignition coil from another properly working e46 engine and tried swapping it with my 1st cylinder coil, but it didn't change anything. In summer it was not such big of the deal, because it would only run rougher for a while and that's all, but now in winter, it is a certain misfire fault code every cold start. Another thing is, if I manually keep revs at around 1300 for a while until it warms up a bit, the engine won't throw any code. Any feedback is appreciated!

What are your fuel trims?

Hey, I have some reading from INPA hope those are alright.
Both were done on a warmed-up engine.
At idle:

At around 2500revs:

I don't have any other scanning tool, so it is the only test/reading I can get.

Did you try swapping coils to non-affected cylinders? If misfiring moves to those, the coils are the problem. From what you wrote I assume there is a leak present. In what shape is MAF sensor?

Good luck!

I tried swapping coils today, and the problem did not follow to other cylinders, so coils are okay.

My MAF is in this shape, and it is a genuine BMW OEM part. I also tried to clean it with MAF cleaner, but I didn't notice any big difference.

Have you tried to check it for leaks?
