My Mazda 2 was totaled in an accident back in March so I purchased a 2011 Camry XLE V6 at 127,000 miles. I got an oil change and transmission fluid dump and fill the day after my purchase as the previous owner's Carfax indicated that they had the transmission "checked" previously but had not done a fluid exchange. Not experiencing any slipping or anything horrendous but wanted to know what I should look out for with these Gen 6 Camrys, specifically the 2010-11 models with the 2GR-FE V6.
You can search for known issues on it. There are a few complaints but most owners have relatively trouble free experience if maintenance is performed regularly, transmission service every 30k etc... There is one issue I read about with cooling fans on radiator dying prematurely , so as you always should keep an eye on your gauges occasionally. Only way you’ll know is if you start overheating, and if you notice before steams rolling out from under the hood and shut it down you’ll be ok. If it were mine I would just have them checked over now just in case.
Thanks, Thumpy.
