I have a 2007 jeep liberty with an automatic transmission, but it doesn't have a transmission dipstick. It has the tube, but instead of the dipstick being there it just has a cap that says 'for dealership use only'. It's obviously just a shady way to force people to take their car to the dealership instead of doing something themselves. Is it possible to get a dipstick for it? Would I have to go to the dealer and ask if I can buy one, or maybe get one online? I'd rather spend a few bucks for a dipstick than hundreds at the dealer for a fluid change.
yeah pls get a dipstick. honestly with a car like that id drain n fill trans fluid every 30k miles
Yes there is, I got one at autozone when I had my 12 Liberty and it worked fine.
