I have a Chevy Malibu 2012 just changed out my water pump and front axles and it’s at 156,000 miles and I sometimes take it on long trips still are those cars reliable enough to make it past 200,000 miles if properly maintained

Well those are not the best made cars around. Usually they start falling apart by the mileage you have, but if it's doing OK with rigorous maintenance you might have a shot at 200K. (You're only talking about an additional 44K miles.)

If you do take proper maintenance into any car, it will last some time by changing the fluids and oil.
I would sell that car now and get some money out of it. You changed the water pump and front axles and that is a big job.

I would start thinking about a replacement.
