Key turned to on position and starts clicking rapidly, but cranks and turns in the start position.

2009 Toyota Corolla. Was locked out on security, and was not getting fuel fix that problem. Now there is a click when the key is turned to the on position but not the start position, clicking is coming from under the motor sounds like. And now is not getting fuel. When in the start position motor turns but doesn’t fire. Checked the injection and it’s now. It getting fuel. This clicking never happened prior to the security issue now after. Did take apart the fuel injection lines because the was leaking fuel. Once we got that going that’s when the clicking started.

Sounds like you get more than one problem, but if the clicked when it was just on odds, are you need a new ignition switch. It shouldn't click until you hit the start position and generally clicking means either your starter is shot. Your battery is low or you have a wiring short somewhere that doesn't send enough power to the starter, but it should only do that when you put it in the start position
