I found 5 K&N oil filters for my 2016 suburban at a garage sale for $5 apiece. They are 20K filters. I normally buy Mobil 1 10k filters because I change my oil at 10K. Since these are 20k, can I just keep the K&N filter on for another 10k when I change the oil? thanks a bunch for San Antonio.

You may save a few bucks by doing that, but how much will it cost if you wind up having to replace your engine? Even 10K is really pushing it.

Advertised as that or not any more than 10k at most on an oil filter(some cars of newer years are 10k oil changes) sounds like an awful idea. I would never recommend going that long on an oil filter change ever. Filters are cheap enough why gamble
