I'm looking into buying a 2011 Kia Sorento lx with 120 MI for $3,500 private owner is it worth it. I was told that all recalls were done oil changes were done on a regular but I'm worried because it's 12 years old. I am getting a pre-inspection done on it if I were to buy it.
Even with a pre-purchase inspection, it is not worth it. Kia has had numerous problems over the years with their cars.

In 2011 the 2.4L Theta II did NOT yet have oil sprayer nozzles (added in 2012), this did reduce the earlier theta's service life significantly. Similarly in 2011, that was the first year of the A6F27 and those can fail if not serviced frequently around the 120k mile mark.
I do not recommend it, what are your other options?
