hey scotty i own a 2006 Eclipse GT with a 6 speed manual.
when the car gets up to operating temps and i drive it for a little bit, every time i come to a complete stop i can hear a knocking sound like a chugging train. However when i push my clutch in the sound goes away. as soon as i let off the clutch it comes back any idea what it might be.

Throwout bearing is going south.
Actually since the noise occurs when the clutch pedal is released it may be the pilot bearing.
True. Either way, it appears there is a clutch kit in his future.
