Hey Scotty, there's a 2001 Discovery 2 td5 for sale round the block from where I live, it's up for $4000, but it's got 155,000 miles. Is it good value?

No! Don't get it. As good as the value may be it is a Land Rover. Like Scotty has said the electrical systems break so often. You will pay much more than 4k in repairs.

At that high mileage and age, I’d pass on it. You will spend more money in repairs than the vehicle is worth. Is this going to be a primary vehicle, a weekend toy, how do you plan to use it?
