Is there a Mercedes model from 80s-90s that has a lower complexity level that would make a nice candidate for "enhancing" a bit for speedier driver?
I rode in 300ce a little as a kid and then the 90 Acura Legend LS, and my thoughts were that the Legend was every bit as good in all aspects, except the Acura v6 was quicker and had a nice sound.
Okay you got Three choices, Track, Drag or Street. Track is fast Drag is faster and Street is fun to drive ect You didn't say what you wanted to do with the car and honestly Scotty is not big on modding cars. I love racing and would happy to help you but you need to give me somemore to work with other because you can "enhance" but I need more details if you want help here

Thanks, to clarify to make it a zippy street car. I believe the stock drivetrain is 160 hp, something more like 220-250hp.
Engine swap is the most expensive and the last thing you want to do and your talking about modding an OLD car. This is a bad idea and its going to be crazy expensive to do. You better off buying a car with the engine you want in it instead of all this.
Buy any diesel Mercedes from that era, simple to fix and go for ever.
