Hey Scotty, when launching a boat how deep should you submerge the rear of your vehicle? I am thinking about half way up the rear tires so there is no risk of submerging the differential. Is that a good rule of thumb or are there other things to watch out for? 2008 Highlander V6

Check the breather tube on your axle. The end of it should be somewhere up high in the body or frame, with a check-valve on it
If you're launching into the ocean, wash the sea water off after.

That sounds about right. Make sure you get at least the trailer wheels in the water. Only enough to get your boat in the water but don’t get too much. Water. In the rear wheels. Otherwise you’ll contaminate your differential
