Hey Scotty i just purchased a 2007 toyota corolla manual w/ 140k miles. Lived in New Hampshire its whole life. I get P0420 code comes and goes. I can smell exhaust fumes inside the vehicle and i can hear a leak not bad yet.. I cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor with your video and got 505 CRF i like the smell too. the sound seems like its coming from near exhaust manifold. I want to fix the leak in the summer im in CT so its cold now and i will live with it for now maybe when you are in RI this spring i can see you.
I would not wait on that. If you can smell it your breathing carbon monoxide. You could end up passing out depending on how long you are in the vehicle.

Yes i agree 100% carbon monoxide is no joke. To be clear i have my 2010 tacoma as a daily driver. hopefully fo the next 30 years. The corolla i got from a friend who could no longer drive and i am only fixing it up to possibly sell or keep as a winter driver to keep the taco from rusting away 🙂
