Left Front Rattling Sound

Hi, I have a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer ES with a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine and a CVT automatic transmission with 173,820 miles. It has a rattling sound coming from the left front, making me initially think that it's the Transmission since it only happens while idling in drive, not in any other gear or while driving. However, the Transmission is otherwise very quiet and shifts smoothly for its age with no shaking or other noises. It's also usually very quiet, but in the video it is a bit louder than usual, and it also sounds quieter and Slightly more high pitched listening from inside the car than it seems in the video.

Also worth noting is that it doesn't always happen while idling in drive, but that is the only situation when the sound happens. Also, it sometimes is louder with the wheels turned fully one way or the other, but I can't replicate this consistently so it's possible that this has no effect on it. One last note is that I've never been able to here this noise from outside the car, I can only hear it from the inside. Thanks!

Are you in the rust belt? A possibility to check, when I heard rattling sounds from the left front of my car it was because the disc brake dust shield there had rusted to the point where it was loose and rattling around.

could be a bad engine or transmission mount.
