Hey Scotty,
I have a Toyota Alex Corolla 2001 in the morning when I start it, it does not have enough power but after some time it gains power and drives great. sometimes when it has been parked for like 3 hours under the sunshine it does the same thing but after like one minute of driving it gains power what could be the problem. this has been happening like for 2 years.
Thanks.
Do you mean the engine is misfiring? Or hesitating?
When was the time your car was serviced? When did you last change your oil? How old are the spark plugs? Check for a clogged fuel filter & pressure test your fuel pump.
Are there any trouble codes or is the check engine light on?
@inthrustwetrust
thanks for the feedback but i do my service on time and there is no check engine light.
How come when the car is parked under a cold place it starts normally but when it's parked under sunshine it take some time to pick. do plugs have any connection to this?
@ambrose.at
If you’re still running on your factory fuel injectors, it may be a good idea to take it to an honest mechanic and have them inspect & pressure clean them.
If you can live with it, and there aren’t any codes, I’d just leave it alone.
Your car needs some time to get to the normal operating temperature and during that time, it is not as smooth as you think. It is not underpowered though, it needs more rev to get to a certain speed compared to the normal operating temperature condition.
@yaser
thanks. So do I need to do anything to solve this?
or that's how the car was made?
If you do not see any code, do not worry.
