How long do you think a 2012-2013 Volvo s60/Volvo s80 last? The transmissions are Aisin made and the engine's are 5 cylinders. I heard Scotty say that Volvo's are the best European car' and he has had many customers buy them with 100k and miles and use it for another 100k. If I bring to mechanic and they say that it is in good shape, how long could it last and would buying it with 80k miles or so be reasonable or foolish? Ur thoughts.

As far as I know volvo was acquired by china in 2010. 5 cyl is not that uncommon actually. I'm pretty sure he might have been talking about sub 2010 era volvos. Not sure. Beware of cheap plastics after the fact, couple customers had em and they are great cars for sure, especially if well maintained. But the plastic is not the best. Also as scotty says autos suck and I agree haha. With volvo also making the lifetime transmission oil claim (100k miles) be sure your mechanic checks it out, some problems with turbo here and there as well but all easy common stuff mostly. With go for another 80-100k easy if maintained.
