Hello everyone,
I'll be purchasing a 2001 lexus es300 with 117000 miles on it for $5000. I was wondering what gas I should use. Should I spend extra and get premium gas or just stick to regular fuel? I've heard arguments from both sides of the table saying that I should because it allows the engine to run better and not ping. I've also heard Scotty say that premium is a waste of money and I should just run regular fuel. I'll still purchase the car regardless because this is a golden find. I just want clarity.

What does the owner’s manual say?
From what I can find online it says premium. I'll have to check when I look at the car again.
