Lexus ES350 Condenser Cost for Replacement

Scotty: I have a local auto mechanic we have been using for the last 8 years but now I am wondering have I been ripped off on my last visit. I have a 2007 ES350 I purchased new, it now has 205,000 miles & needed air conditioning repair: No Cold Air. My mechanic replaced the A/C Condenser (  I found on line retailed for $80 ) & the freon: Charged me $700. ?! Am I a victim of familiarity abuse by always returning to the same repair shop?

I don't think so, I had my condenser replaced last year in a Highlander and the parts are not expensive but it takes hours to get to the part. It's tucked deep behind the dash and they had to take it all apart, etc. It was a stiff bill but gotta have cold air.

@marksamis7 can you copy and paste your answer to the ‘Your Answer’ section below? Thank you.
