Well those are excellent cars. Scotty repeatedly tells his viewers about how reliable those cars are. It is also one of the few sedans that is naturally aspirated. Those things can last a really long time. In terms of new or used, if it were me I would buy one slightly used just so I don't incur the depreciation expense of a brand new car. If you decide to go the route of purchasing a used one, make sure to have a trustworthy mechanic throughly inspect it before purchase.
Good cars, just get it checked out to make sure it's well maintained. Not sure what they've got under the hood on the newer models these days but regular V6 non turbo is the way to go on those. I can say for sure that the 2006-2017s are all great. Tons on the road still, you can get a good deal used. Especially private party.
