Hi would love to get feedback from anyone who has owned or driven the lexus gs 13 - 16, avalon 13 -18 and es 13 - 17.

My inlaw is looking to get a new car, his beloved  2017 camry xse was totally. We are looking at the gs 2013 - 2015 or later and avalon 2013 - 2018.

Our main concern is which rides smoother and quiet (less road noise given the baby will be ridingin it sometimes). We had that issue with the camry.

We were looking at the es but reviews say is doesn't handle very well, and power to the fwd is lacks control especially flooring it from a stop(whi h he does alot, fyi he drives a little crazy), it has a higher probability of dangling before it gets going. The gs does have awd is it as quiet as the es, or atleast is it quieter than the avalon 2013 -18.

Thank you for your insightful responses.

So, how is this car going to be used?  You want quiet as not to disturb the baby, yet be able to have a solid, controlled launch from a stop?

Yes exactly, something that is luxurious and quiet, yet handles well solid launch control from a stop and handling turns without having to drop to 40 or 50 mph casue you feel like the car is gonna flip over, the camry Xse did that excellently, just wasn't quiet enough for us especially the baby.

My father owns a 2014 Lexus GS350 RWD and it has a luxurious smooth ride, excellent handling and is extremely quiet inside the cabin. Whenever I have driven it, I drive it easy but my dad says it runs like a scalded dog! I do not know about the AWD Lexus but my husband says that AWD vehicles have more potential problems and are more expensive to repair than FWD or RWD.

Thank you @Accord13 for your response/insight.
