Hi Scotty,
I recently asked you a question on Youtube live about checking timing belt of Lexus GS 430 2003 without taking cover off.
You said that timing gun or scanner can be used to check that. In the case of the scanner, could you show me how to do it ? On the live data of
my Foxwell scanner there is a parameter call "Iginition Timing Advance for #1 Cylinder" Reference (-64,63.5) Value 21.0 (This one changing when I drive the car).
Is it the parameter that I should look into to check the timing.
Thanks
Definitely change the belt it's worn
Hi Scotty, thank u very much for your timely response. So if the belt is ok the Value should stay the same. Is it right ? Can you tell me more about Reference column ? This one does not change. I will definitely get to a good shop to change the belts and components <3
Scotty does not respond back to follow up questions, unfortunately.
It is good enough. He is so busy. Understandable.
