Hi Scotty,
I recently bought a 2015 Lexus RC 350 f sport AWD with 107,400 miles , automatic transmission. No codes. The best of my knowledge is that it's had basic maintenance fluids, filters, tires , ect .my question is, does this car's engine have the rubber timing belt ? Or a chain ? If a belt is it too late to change it ? .... would you be interested in reviewing this car?
A good way to quickly check those kinds of things is to go to Rock Auto or an OEM distributor website to see what parts are on the list. In this case, as @chucktobias says, it’s a chain.
That's what I did, checked the engine components at rockauto.com.
It has a timing chain.
I've found that most of the time I can find whether a car has a chain or belt just by googling. or you can call up your local dealer.
If a belt is it too late to change it ?
it's never too late to change a belt, especially if it's an interference engine.
would you be interested in reviewing this car?
