I am about to buy a 2013 Lexus rx350 165 k miles one owner, older gentleman only used the car once a week for Costco , garage kept perfect interior all maintenance done on time recently oil fluids replaced drives like a champ , no issues leaks , seals or suspension or tie rods or power steering leaks or issues a few domestic issues only. Is this a good buy ? Also he’s a rich retired guy he just got a new Lexus doesn’t want it. New tires new battery as well. Only thing I would say is my concern is there like a rattle or shake by the pulleys I think it might be a pulley the most or a tensioner I’m not an expert thanks
Well, he must have gone to Costco all the time because it's got $165,000 mi on it. I assume he's not the original owner. Now. Those can be really good cars but they're very expensive to repair when they brake. I would not touch that car with a 10-ft pole unless a mechanic like myself checks it out first
@scottykilmer so I did a CARFAX he’s the second owner but got it at 5000 miles Lexus certified year 2013, looks like he did maintenance on CARFAX until the 160 k mark.
Sounds like a good buy. As for the noise, I think most engines with that mileage make a sound like that. Usually cam rattle. Here's an idea. Scotty has a video on YouTube about a device that will help to pinpoint sound. Go take a look there.
