Hi Scotty
I have a 2017 Lexus RX350, I can lock and unlock all doors with the keyfob and inside, and I can unlock my doors on the outside by grabbing the door handle via the touch sensor. But, for some reason, I cannot lock the doors via the dimple/touch sensor on the door handle (it's the case on all four doors).
I went to a mechanic, and they ran a live data feed via Techstream to see if the lock sensor is on/active when touched/pressed with the key nearby, which it is.
I just don't have an idea why the doors won't lock when I touch the sensor/dimple on the door handle.
Would disconnecting and reconnecting the battery to reset the system help?
Any idea or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
You could try resetting it if you wanted. It might work. For my experience, it's the stupid dimple system that breaks down and that's a royal pain in the ass to replace
Thanks Scotty, would a blown fuse also be a cause?
The locking and unlocking mechanism works, its just not working on the dimple.
