Hello Scotty. Firstly, I love your videos. I just recently purchased a 2013 RX 350 with 70,000 miles. It looks like brand new I love it but when I got home I did some research and have discovered that these Lexus have an oil line problem. Since I am now retired this scared the crap out of me. Because they said the oil light will come on and you have to stop your car immediately or you will destroy your engine and must have it towed. Holy crap I can’t afford to have major problems. Can you shed some light on this I’ve been trying to reach you another YouTube post. I understand that Lexus come out with a new part for it but it also failed. So this is sort of scary. This car has been maintained at Clearwater Lexus from the very beginning. It was a trade-in for a new one and it has synthetic Oil which I think is good. Thank you so much Scotty and I am looking forward to a response. I {black} Regards Debra
Call up the dealer. There is an updated part, make sure you have that done.
I read where there is a new part but that part will do the same thing
The new part is a metal one. It is unlikely you have the same issue. Apartment, ask for warranty when they replace it.
Well I guess I’ll stop worrying about it. Because I understand it is a small percentage of those who have this issue. However, it makes me think twice about taking a long trip as my luck it would probably bust an oil line lol. Thank you so much
Scotty have you heard of this oil line failure??? I was hoping that I could get Scotty to answer me
stay tuned to his Youtube channel. He'll read it out eventually.
