i just recently bought a 2007 lexus gs 350 w 113k miles and i have no idea if they have changed the transmission fluid before and i’m wondering if i could have all the fluid replaced at once w 113k miles or is it too high mileage to do that? and is autozone STP fluid good or should i use OEM?
You could change the fluid. Read the owner's manual on what is the recommended fluid. The only time when you wouldn't change the fluid is if the car had over 200k miles.
I went with amsoil fuel efficient atf and it works great on my 2008 gx470. I did a full change by pulling the in and out tubes on the radiator at about 130k miles, but the fluid was changed at least partially at 90k.
Keep in mind that you can sign up on drivers.lexus.com and add your vehicles vin number. You can likely get a list of all the service that was done at a lexus or toyota dealership from there. I looked there before I bought my GX and it had tons of records, nice to know what has been done to it.
I would change it. The WS fluid is good for Toyota products.
