Lincoln Town Car or a Mercury Grand Marquis which one is better
Those are both Fords. They are basically the same car except the Lincoln is more luxurious.
They are basically the same car with different designs. They are both Ford Panther platform cars, so both can last a long time. Just comes down to which one you prefer.
Within the 2 models you mentioned, 1st Choice Lincoln TC, 2nd choice Mercury Grand Marquis. Between the two, there are notable differences in styling and occupant comfort.
Generally, Ford Crown Victoria, which shares the same basic drivetrain, was built primarily for use as a taxi. Some were also built for law enforcement use, with very, very few being built for the fleet or family markets.
Generally, the majority of Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car production was intended for completely different markets, the fleet and family markets. Also, many LTC vehicles spent decades being use as luxury transportation and limousines.
For vehicles in similar condition, Lincoln TC fair market value could be 10% - 50% higher than MGM. But remember, production ended in 2011, and what's out there is far from "new".
I believe the most desirable, lowest mileage examples remaining are to be found in areas having a notable retirement population.
Aren’t those the same as the Crown Vic’s?
