Hai, since my car warranty expired at 3rd years, i do not service at nissan anymmore. from there, i don't remember why, but i've been using 5W-30 fully synthetic engine oil for 4 years. then i look my old record at nissan SC, i just realize my engine use ow-20. lol

should i change back to 0W-20 or should i just continue using 5W-30? will it hurt my engine if i change back to 0W-20? thanks in advance..

It's not that much of a drastic change in oil weight to cause any damage. Some people switch between oil weights as they see fit. Usually you can go within +/- 10 weight oil from the base recommendation.

My BMW requires 0w-20, but I use 5w-30 because it's hotter where I live.

@razmigb
actually in manual say 10w-30. but SC give me 0W. then i read the manual 5w-30 much better than 10w-30, then i choose 5w-30. some driver give review on their vehicle 0w-20 at 4K KM already degrade so much. feel heavy. need to change earlier than it should (10K).. thanks for reply.
