Dear Scotty,
thanks for the years of Amazing videos, we'd be lost without you.
FYI: YOU HAVE A HUGE FOLLOWING IN THE ARAB WORLD!
I have a 2016 WRX 2L Turbo with a CVT, Sadly I have committed few mistakes with this vehicle (Besides buying it 😆) .
I have 2 Problems, one related to the Fuel Octane in our country which is 95RON (Equivalent to US PON91)
the recommended should be 98RON (US 93 PON), so I have alot of black soot on my exhausts.
and recently I ahve been having Lag and acceleration problems when cruising at low speed and open up the throttle the engine builds up power then jumps, I thought the CVT was failing, but there is no sound of slipping or jittering at lows speeds.
I suspect it might be a particle issue in the turbo or injectors as the dealership always filled the vehicle with Motul X-CESS 5W40 Oil, I recently discovered a USA Service bulletin stating to stay away from that type of oil as it causes build up with Direct injection systems and should only use 5W30 API SN PLUS.
I was thinking to do an engine flush and maybe clean up any debris before changing to the recommended Oil Type.
the Best reputable Engine Flush I could find is the "Liqui Moly Engine Flush Plus".
Would you recommend doing an oil flush or have a professional look into a carbon clean?
thank you and sorry for the long post.
It right away. Hey using my friend Bernie in Albuquerque New Mexico. He runs the company called ATS. They make both an engine flush and a fuel injection cleaner. You just pour it works fantastic. Just Google it
