I'm asking or a friend, he has a 2016 F-150 Larait 4x4. And I suggested to Pour some liqui Moly into his engine before taking it to get his oil changed clean. But My knowledge on ecoboost engines and liqui Moly are not existent so I'm just double checking with people who know
Total waste of money.
Waste of money. You don't need these snake oils.

Carbon buildup on the intake valves is the concern with eco boost engines. Oil flush or any other additive won't help. The new GF6A oil is supposed to prevent carbon build up as well as having other advantages for turbo charged engines.
Liqui moly are German made products. They are far from a waste of money. Their diesel purge is the best of the best. I use their fuel system cleaners. I use their mos2 engine treatment. All are awesome products. I believe he is talking about their engine flush. I've used engine flush the first oil change after buying a used car. Otherwise the use of high quality oil and filters eliminate the need to flush engines. Old conventional engines and poor quality oils caused sludge in the early 1900s. Not so much any more. Not sure with turbos. The liquid moly engine treatment is an awesome product. My engine is so much quieter. Love these products.
