Hi, I have a 2017 Jeep Compass sport with a 2.0 L engine. I have an issue with the CVT Transmission and the code that it gives me is a P0777. Pressure control Solenoid B is stuck open. This car is in good shape other wise with just over 110 K miles on it. I want to fix it. I need help in identifying the correct part to replace the Valve Body where this solenoid issue is located. How do I locate that information? Please help me I am the caregiver for my 81 year old mother and this vehicle is an absolute necessity as it is easy to load and unload her from it from any reason I need to take her out. Thank you.
This video demonstrates replacing that part on a 2016 Compass. Yours should be similar as they are both 2nd generation models:

@chucktobias can you tell me how to locate the correct part number?
If you look up Jeep factory parts online they should have diagrams and part numbers for transmission components.
keep in mind that CVTs are not strong transmissions. Especially in a Jeep.
It's likely this fail code is a sign of a worn out transmission, and only the first in a chain of problems that ultimately results in complete trans failure.
This may be the part you're looking for, if not it should steer you in the right direction:

@boot it isn't . That's a computer module. I don't think they sell solenoids. Only complete valve body assemblies and they cost around $1,450
My bad, thanks for the correction.
