Scotty,
with snow and ice hitting Virginia right now, I have a 93 f-150 with manual locking hubs and push button 4x4. To prevent having to stop all the time. Could I just lock my hubs until the weather passes and drive around like that or will it damage anything? Thanks.

If you have manual hubs, go ahead and lock them in, but make sure you don't accidentally engage 4×4 on a dry, paved road. Your truck may feel a little more sluggish, and your MPG will drop. Other than that, it won't really hurt anything. We do this in Ohio when we're expecting nasty weather. I retrofitted my '99 Ranger with locking hubs and do it.
