Looking at a second Honda

I’m looking to purchase a second car for my wife and I. We currently have a 2014 Honda Accord sport and we love it, but the CVT leaves a little to be desired on my end as far as driving pleasure. (Gas mileage not so much)
We are looking at 2016 and newer civics, specifically manual transmission ones, but I notice a lot come with the 1.5 L turbo engine, what can you tell me about that setup as far as reliability and maintenance VS the 2.4 L natural in the accord?

If you want manual Civic without the turbo engine consider the 2022 Civic hatchback Sport trim comes with a manual option and NA engine. Also, in general when it comes to turbocharged engines then definitely Honda over any other brand. They have fixed their oil dilution problem (Scotty has a video on this) by doing a software update and also using the correct oil. NA engines are the best option for longevity, but the turbocharged engines aren't that bad in my opinion unless you want to keep the car for 10 or more years.
