Hola! I'm really looking to import a Celica GT4. Yes we have some importers in the states but I'd rather self import. Now there are plenty of exporters online in Japan. Sending a deposit and putting my trust in these folks makes me nervous. Would you or anyone have positive experience with a reputable exporter over there? I was looking at "Japan Car Direct." Idk, whaddaya think? BTW, Scotty you da man!!!

Well I've had no such experience. Maybe someone here has. But I do have to say from my customers experiences the ones who bought them from guys who import them professionally got the best deals. Those guys know what to do. What Greece is the palm to import them and make them legal for driving the United States

This is a great website, but may not be the source for the information you're looking for. There are a few guys around here with experience buying JDM imports, but not many. (Certainly a lot of good info here on maintaining an old Toyota, just not a lot on importing one.)
I'd ask around the Celica forums. Probably the Supra and Skyline forums too. Might find some people with the right beta.
