Hey I've been looking at a 4 cyl 2013 Audi A4 automatic with 90k miles on it, owner says it's a rebuilt title and only radiator has been replaced. Some people say they are reliable and others say they suck down oil and can be a money pit, what are your thoughts for that year of audi
Rebuilt title? NO
Audi? NO
The seller is lying? Yes
Pass on that! Pass on any used Audi out of warranty, no matter how good of a condition it is in. They are all money pits outside of warranty esp. if you have to pay someone else to work on the vehicle for you each time a problem comes up (and it will happen).
owner says it's a rebuilt title and only radiator has been replaced.
Cars don't get a rebuilt title because of a replaced radiator so there is definitely more to why it has a rebuilt title. I would suggest staying away from a rebuilt title car and saving yourself the not needed extra hassle.
The issue with rebuilts is that they typically have had major frame or electrical (flood cars, for instance) work done. If it was done on the cheap by some who doesn’t know what they are doing (usually the case) it could give you long term headaches.
Unless it was totaled for hail damage or something cosmetic, stay away.
It's not an Audi, it's an ow-di!

The TFSI engine is a piece of crap, RUN.
what's even worse? A lot of these automatics are actually CVTs.

I think the fact that EA888 TFSI drinks oil is undisputed.
I wouldn't get an Audi with that engine that old - if it would've been a manual TDI with a clean title, it would've been a different story.
Quite honestly? if you want something fun, Lexus, old Infinitis are not terrible, old Volvo T5 manuals are alright.
