I have a 97 Toyota Land Cruiser with 216,000 miles on the odometer. Due to it being full time 4wd, its not the best on gas mileage. It doesn't help that it has the aero of a flying brick.
I have always loved hot hatchbacks and was thinking about a Ford Fiesta ST as a daily driver so I can focus on building the Land Cruiser out but still enjoy what I'm driving. How are they on reliability in your experiance?

Is it an automatic? If so, the short answer is: No, they are not reliable. Is it a stick? If so, the short answer is that they can be decent for a while but have lower quality. Remeber Ford doesn't make it anymore and the msrp was just over 21 grand and I can find them for less than 10 grand now so don't pay much. I would consider a Honda or Toyota. They also have neat cars like the Civic si or the Corolla hatchback manual.
