Looking for a fairly inexpensive car with a manual transmission that is quick, fun, and inexpensive to maintain. Prefer RWD over FWD, but not a deal breaker. What models should I look for that may be for sale?
Clarification: Coupe or sedan? How old? How many years and miles do you need it to last you? (I.e. do you need it to last to at least 100, 150, 200, 250+ thousand miles?)
Mazda Miata.
Just get a Miata or Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ: … new, used, any year. If used one, just find a good one, not modified one, not abused one, … one previous owner only. Have it inspected before purchase to make sure it is good, … than just buy it! But only if you are not too tall …
F.S.
Miata or BRZ.
Mazda Miata
Honda Civic Si
Toyota 86
Nissan 300 to 400 z series
Used mustang between 2000 to 2010 in good condition
Corvette c7
I agree with that list, except the Corvette C7 - quality is not there on those and costly repairs. I considered one before but after much research concluded it was not a good choice, esp. out of warranty.
If you want to go classic, a Corvair Monza.
in 2006 the miata got some upgrades , more HP, improved suspension (i think), a milli-tad wider and longer
fun fun fun
