[Solved] Looking for a Used Lexus RX 330 or 350

My wife wants to get rid of her 2005 Jeep Liberty and get a used Lexus RX 330 or 350.  Our budget for a used car is around $12k to $14k.  Which RX model and years do you recommend that would fall in to our budget?  Thanks to Youtube channels like yours I try to do as much of my own repairs and maintenance as possible.

Thanks

I just bought a 2003 RX300 with 169000 for $1700. Bought it from someone I know, was his daily driver. Excellent condition, regular maintenance. Needs the knock sensors replaced to pass emissions, which is why he sold it. I don't have to pass emissions and don't care about the sensors. Common problem on the RX300. These older ones also have timing belts and are interference engines, so consider that. With your budget you can afford a much newer model.

With your budget, you should probably consider RX330.

$12-14k for an RX330?

The RX330 would be best for your budget. They are good cars.

I just bought a 2008 RX 350 with 98,000 miles for $10,300, and I think I got a good deal.  The only reason I wouldn’t recommend a 330 is that it uses a timing belt.  I’d rather have the reassurance of a timing chain and not have to worry about that.  For your budget, I think you can get a very good deal on a 350; you just have to have a little patience perhaps.  Depends on where you live too.

Good luck!

Check this web site - it looks like the first years for each of the 300, 330 and 350 are the most problematical

Most of them are good the newer you go the better in your price point you could get a nice RX350 around 2010-2013 but most likely 07 08 09 models will be more available.
