Scotty, I'm looking to purchase a truck this year. We love our Toyota Sienna as our other vehicle, got it around 50K and have put another 100K on it, and its solid, no problems. I love how the F150's look, have driven multiple as rentals. Just after reading about them, knowing the ecoboost came out in 18-19, had a bunch of problems, and all the transmission problems everyone complains about from new f150's to other having only 30K miles, I'm extremely hesitant on purchasing a used f150 xlt with 50-70k miles. I don't even know if ford is reliable on an f150 if i purchase a lower mileage at 30k.
I've always been a fan of toyota vehicles. Only thing I hate with the toyota tundra is the transmission hump in the rear. Makes the person sitting in the middle very uncomfortable. and I only want a V6. Just need the large bed for going to craft shows or carrying lumber as I have a woodworking business.
Can you advise on what my best options are for a reliable truck? Thanks.
a reliable full size V6 pickup? Maybe a pre-2007 Silverado pickup with a 4.3 and low miles. Chances of finding one is next to nil.
Tundra is pretty much your only option. Otherwise you'll have to compromise on your requirements. Live with the hump.
