I have a 2001 Ford Ranger, 3.0 automatic with 215,000 miles, no check engine light or obd codes when scanned, truck was running fine and stopped accelerating as i was driving, when I pulled over the engine was still running and sputtered when I came to a stop, like it wanted to die,  i turned off the engine, and after about 20 mins, I started my truck up and was able to drive about a mile to home, I hear the fuel pump for the 2 seconds when I turn my key before I start it, radiators full, temp gauge isn't overheating it's in the middle,seems like it drove fine the next day, but I dont want to chance messing something up, any ideas what could be going on that the obd scan tool wont read?
