Hey Scotty, huge fan here. I have a 2005 Honda Civic 1.4i Hatchback (EU) with 160.000km. I hear really loud ticking sound from underneath my car, but only when I’m accelerating. I think it comes from the middle part, somewhere where axle gets in the transmission. Car mechanic who checked the car said that the problem is with front differential. Do you think I can solve this problem with replacing both of axles? When I lifted the car I had shooked the axles in this part close to transmission and I heard clicking noises.
Also, i hear some noise from transmission when a car is in neutral, but when I press the clutch the sound is gone. I think it is the input shaft bearing on the bottom of the transmission, what do you think?
Tnx for all your videos and your effort, my girlfriend and I have bought Civic based on your advice 🤓🤓 Thank you! 🙂🙂
I would replace the axle on where the noise is being made. For the 2nd issue, it is the input shaft bearing and it needs to be replaced.
