2005 Toyota RAV4 w/ 180,000 miles
I used to occasionally hear a thud when accelerating from a stop. I replaced the transmission fluid and the thud is much less pronounced. However, when taking a right turn and accelerating, the engine gets loud like a boat engine. It seems to only be on right turns (?) and I'll hear a thud if I really give it gas. Am I living on borrowed time with the transmission or could it be something else?

In my opinion get a new car 2005 180k miles it’s probably something major not worth fixing, sell it to CarMax or something and if not try and localize the problem to a spot, could be coming from anywhere in the engine bay and try and fix that part.
